We thank you for communicating with us regarding the Reduced Credit Line implementation issues. We have found several concerns that are being addressed and would like to provide further clarifications and updates.
Issue #1: The Company initially denoted RCL status as Part-Time as a benefit status. We had repeatedly stated to the Company that RCL is not a part-time program and should not have that designation.
Fix: The Company listened to Union Leadership feedback and has changed RCL designation to Full-Time as a benefit status. Members will see an email in that regard.
Issue #2: Due to the original Part-Time designation status, Members were sent notices that portions of their benefits were canceled.
Fix: The Company changing status to Full-Time should stop cancellations of certain benefits. We are working and following up with the Company to ensure that your benefits are reinstated for those already affected.
Issue #3: There is an ongoing dispute regarding the number of hours needed to hold benefits YoY.
Fix: Your Union feels strongly that the number provided by the Company is an error. We continue pushing for a resolution that both the Company and your Union Leadership find agreeable. We will follow up with more information as it comes.
Issue #4: Our Members communicated the possibility that RCL flying payment may have been paid out on the Premium pay scale and not Straight as stipulated in CBA 23.H.
Fix: We have asked for an audit to ensure RCL is paid out correctly. We will follow up with more information as it comes.
Issue #5: Your Union Leadership continues advocating on your behalf, ensuring RCL Implementation components are accurately programmed, and correct bidding options are available. If you have experienced an impact regarding benefits cancellation, please reach out to your Base Executive Board Member so that we can assist you.
Until these measures are ironed out, we advise extreme caution regarding your Bidding choices. We currently have a meeting scheduled for this week to speak with the Company to resolve our concerns. We will keep you informed as things develop.
