We are pleased to announce a major win in the enforcement of our CBA! This week, our Grievance Team settled a long-standing issue with the Company regarding 12 Hours of In-Base Rest for our Reserve Inflight Crewmembers.
Based on the settlement, going forward and until programming is in place, the Company will manually adjust for 12 hours of rest for a Reserve IFC who calls Crew Services and requests it. Do not hesitate to call Crew Services on a recorded line to request your 12 hours of rest per the CBA and this agreement. If you have any issues, please utilize the Contract Violation form on the website.
Also, Inflight Crewmembers who filed submissions and are part of the class grievance will receive emails in the coming days about their settlements. Please be patient while we get these notices out - the list of people included is quite long and the process isn’t automated yet.
This was a major pain point and we’re happy that we have had the opportunity to investigate each submission and successfully argue to resolve this issue and ensure proper rest. As we continue streamlining the grievance process, thank you for your patience.
Thank you to all who took the time to fill out a Contract Violation on this issue - your efforts are what give us the collective strength to fight these battles and enforce our CBA! Your participation in these ways, empowers our entire workgroup.
