Your Union Leadership is aware of issues regarding Bidding and RnR. Yesterday, your Bidding & Scheduling Committee reached out to Crew Planning. We understand there are FLiCA issues impacting bids and R&R awards. Bidding & Scheduling Committee members will remain in constant contact with Crew Planning until those issues have been resolved. Thank you for your patience regarding this experience.
Until now, the Scheduling Committee has been replying to bid award questions via ISAT tickets. NavBlue PBS and all that comes with it is managed by the Company, not our Union. Therefore, any disputes or questions regarding awards should be answered by the Company, not our Union.
The language in Article 9 I supports the flow of disputes to be first handled by Crew Planning and then raised to IPWG if the IFC does not agree with their answer. That would be the point where the Scheduling Committee gets involved, as the Chair is part of the IPWG.
Article 9 I. Individual Bid Award Dispute
1. An IFC must report a potential PBS Bid Award error by submitting a ticket on the Inflight Bid Award Assistance Tool within three (3) Calendar Days (not to include the day the Bid Award was published) of the publication of the Bid Award in CrewTrac (or equivalent). If an IFC does not report a potential PBS Bid Award error within this time period, no adjustments will be made and the Bid Award will be deemed compliant with the Agreement.
2. If Crew Planning determines that a PBS Bid Award error has not occurred but the IFC does not agree with that determination, Crew Planning will raise the issue withthe IPWG who will make a final determination. Corrective action, if required, must be completed prior to the Operating Month. The IPWG may consult with the business partner if they deem necessary.
Our Union exists to support our Inflight Crewmembers, not to explain things on behalf of the Company. The Scheduling Committee will no longer be the first point of contact in reply to ISAT tickets. All bid award questions sent to us will be directed back to the ISAT.
