As you know, JetBlue Management has chosen to cancel Negotiations with your Union and to instead violate the CBA concerning Qualified Roles (QR). Instead of finding a solution, they would rather force IFCs to rejoin the program they have opted out of. In addition, they have implied that the proposal that they expected the Union to sign unchallenged would be welcomed by IFCs and would solve the myriad of problems faced our QR IFCs and all other IFCs.
As we have stated to the Company and published to you, the proposal made by Management was nothing more than a band-aid and a get out of jail free card for the Company that relieved them of the deadlines and accountability required by the CBA. Their proposal did nothing to address the attrition problem in our workgroup, which will likely only get worse as the holiday season approaches. If history tells us anything, they will undoubtedly try to blame their failures on our IFCs and our Union, but we know better.
The Company has heard from your NT and from the thousands of you who signed our petition that we expect them to honor our contract and negotiate in good faith, but they still aren’t listening. The Company pretends that they are dealing with a few IFCs at the negotiating table, but they forget that we are listening to and get our marching orders from YOU – our Members. It’s time to send a message from both QR and Core IFCs about how disheartened our workgroup is. Whether you are QR or Core, please fill out this Pulse Check Survey ASAP.
Please be on the lookout for a Virtual Town Hall and other Member action events that will be held in the very near future. It is clear that Management has lost touch with this workgroup, and it is only by standing together that we can stand up for ourselves against the constant mistreatment and disrespect we face on a daily basis.
